Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026 Operator: Hopgate VPN (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”)

1. Our approach

We process data necessary to provide VPN access, operate accounts and subscriptions, process payments, keep the system working, and protect the service against abuse. Below we explain what data is used and what happens to it when an account is deleted.

2. Registration and accounts

You do not need to provide a name, email address, or Telegram account to register. You can create an account and use the service without providing any of these.

If you choose to connect Telegram, we store the numeric identifier of your Telegram account needed for that feature. Using Telegram is optional.

3. VPN use and operational data

We do not keep a history of websites visited, or store DNS queries or the contents of traffic carried over the VPN.

To provide VPN access, operate client applications and subscriptions, keep the system working, and protect the service against abuse, we process account and VPN access identifiers, subscription information, the amount of bandwidth used, the times of the first and last VPN connections, and limited technical information about client applications and devices. The times of the first and last connections do not show which websites a user visited and are not a history of individual connections.

To detect and stop abuse and malicious traffic, the system may analyze summary technical indicators of network activity in real time and retain the results of that analysis briefly. This data is not a history of websites visited or a log of individual VPN connections.

We do not store original user IP addresses. For system operation and protection against abuse, values derived from IP addresses using HMAC may be used.

4. Payments

We do not receive, collect, or store users’ bank card data.

To confirm payments and maintain financial records, we store information needed for each transaction, including its payment identifier, amount, currency, time, status, and transaction reference. Payment records are linked to the account while it exists.

Some cryptocurrency payments are processed through our own cryptocurrency payment gateway. Other payment methods may be handled by external payment providers. Information a user provides directly to such a provider to make a payment is processed under that provider’s terms.

5. Data retention and account deletion

Account, VPN access, and bandwidth usage data is retained while the account exists and this data is needed to operate the service.

You can delete your account yourself on the account deletion page in the client area. When you delete your account, active subscriptions end, VPN access and keys are revoked, and account data and bandwidth usage history are deleted.

An account with no activity for 3 months is deleted automatically without prior notice. If the account had paid access, it is deleted no earlier than 3 months after the paid access ended.

After an account that used free access is deleted, limited technical data may in some cases be retained for up to 12 months to protect the service against abuse. Financial records needed to account for payments and transactions remain after deletion without a link to the deleted user account.

6. Data sharing and security

We do not share or sell user data. Access to operational data is restricted. To operate the service, data may be processed by our infrastructure and providers of necessary services, including external payment providers. Data may be transferred between servers in different countries. We use safeguards appropriate to the data we process.

7. User rights

For questions about data processing, contact support@hopgate.net. You can delete your account yourself in the client area, as described in section 5.

8. Minors’ privacy

The service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect or store data about minors.

9. Policy updates

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our operations, applicable law, or security measures. The current version is always published with its effective date.
